Apple AR/VR headset - Presented before June

Apple is expected to unveil the AR/VR headset before the WWDC in June. The headset may not be available for purchase for some time.

Apple has always been associated with the development of a VR or AR headset. Mark Gurman, a normally well-informed Bloomberg journalist, claims to have heard in early June 2022 that engineers had already delivered the impending Apple AR/VR headgear to the company's board of directors, which is led by Tim Cook.

Gurman now says that the headset will be unveiled in the spring, before the WWDC developer conference in June. The market will be launched in the autumn of 2023.

Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo projected in June 2022 that Apple would release a virtual-reality headset in January 2023. Meanwhile, Kuo has shifted away from this prediction, predicting that the headset will not be unveiled until the second part of 2023. Apple is rumored to be experiencing technical issues and has opted to postpone the event.

According to Kuo, Apple should prioritize AR while still being able to provide virtual reality if wanted. The expert expects nothing more than a game changer. The Apple VR/AR headset might cost at least $2,000, according to previous Gurman rumors.

The hefty price is justified by the high-quality components and the lengthy development period. In addition to the AR/VR headset, new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro models will be released, potentially featuring the Apple M2 chip. Furthermore, considering the Apple Homepod is still from 2018, a new smart speaker might compete with Amazon's Alexa.

iPhone SE4 is about to be discontinued

The third edition of the iPhone SE has been available since March 2022 and is an entry-level model into the world of Apple smartphones, costing at least 549 dollars. Customers of the new edition, like those of the iPhone SE 2, will receive a tried-and-true design with a physical home button and a 4.7-inch display.

The Apple A15 Bionic processor, which also powers the more expensive iPhone 13, is under the hood. Apple is not preparing a successor to the iPhone SE, according to TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. As a source, the well-known leaker cites credible sources in the supply industry.

According to Kuo, Apple rejected a fourth iteration of the iPhone SE because it planned to employ a specially constructed 5G modem. This cellular modem was scheduled to debut on the iPhone SE before moving on to costlier versions. However, Apple has challenges because its own 5G modems do not perform as well as Qualcomm's existing chips.

Qualcomm modems should continue to be employed in future iPhones as the in-house 5G receivers are further delayed. Ming-Chi Kuo revealed a few weeks ago that Apple had revised its plans for the iPhone SE 4 due in 2024.

Between the second and third generations of the iPhone SE, Apple took two years. There was a four-year gap between the first iPhone SE and the iPhone SE 2.

Last year, it was reported that Apple had cut production of the iPhone SE 3 due to lower-than-expected demand.
