Gemma Arterton and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett in "The Culprits'" Series Trailer
The upcoming series also stars Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Kevin Vidal, and Eddie Izzard.
There are very few things you can be sure of in life, and one of them is that the past will catch up with you at some point. This is exactly what happens to the protagonist of the "Culprits" series, who left behind his criminal past but he was unable to get rid of it forever. This is exactly what the first published trailer for the series reveals.
The trailer makes it clear that although the story has a heist as its main element, the actual heist has already taken place and what we will witness is the aftermath of that heist. What do bank robbers do after they succeed in carrying out their plan and stealing a lot of money? For Joe ( Nathan Stewart-Jarrett ), it wasn't sandy beaches and margaritas. He simply decided to live a quiet life in the suburbs with his spouse and children.
The problem Joe will face is that the person who was harmed by the robbery has managed to track down and start killing everyone involved, putting Joe and his family in danger. Despite the serious implications of the story, the trailer also shows that the series will be a dark comedy, with a combination of funny and exciting episodes.
Series creator J Blakeson said that the approach to the series is anthology-type, in the sense that they decided not to prepare future seasons, but to work on one and then continue only if the audience responds well. So everything depends on the viewers.
"The Culprits" cast also includes Gemma Arterton, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Ned Dennehy, Baeyen Hoffman, Maria Nash, Mark Field, Grant Masters, Kosha Engler and Eddie Izzard.
The premiere of the series was on Disney+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland on November 8, while it arrived on Hulu on December 8. Sounds interesting!
