Pedro Pascal forgot that he got a role in the most popular series in the world?

Actor Pedro Pascal revealed on Jimmy Fallon's show that he forgot that he got a role in the currently most popular series in the world "The Last Of Us". Pascal reflected on the late-night Zoom calls he had with series creator Craig Mazin and the creator of the video game the series is based on, Neil Druckman.

At that time, as he revealed, he was in London and there he received the script for "The Last Of Us". He added that he was already a fan of the "Chernobyl" series, which Mazin also produced for HBO, and that immediately after reading the script he wanted to talk to him. The problem, however, is that Pascal was in London, and Mazin and Druckmann were in Los Angeles.

“I stayed up late at night because of that Zum. And then, at one point, it was really late, and I had to stay in the morning. I took a sleeping pill to go to sleep just in case, as they raised both my adrenaline and my hope. But then I got the call that I got the role, and that was after I drank 'ambien,'" Pascal said with a laugh.

The actor added that he was probably excited, but that he didn't remember, and that he completely forgot that he got the role until the morning. The first thing that came to his mind in the morning was how much he really wanted the role in "The Last Of Us" and that he was ready to wait for the whole night by the phone to know if he got the role. Fortunately, messages congratulating him on his new role have already started to arrive on his phone.

"It said something like, 'Oh, congratulations.' We are so happy for you, and when I looked at the phone, I thought: 'Awesome! I got a job,'” Pascal joked.
