Panasonic has introduced a new model: Lumix GH6

Panasonic has unveiled a new model in its Micro Four Thirds system mirrorless camera line.

The Lumix GH6 features the ability to internally record 5.7K 30p footage in ProRes 422 HQ and ProRes 422 formats for non-linear editing without transcoding.

Featuring 4:3 modes 5.8K 30p / 25p / 24p and 5.7K 4:2:0 10 bits 60p / 50p (4.4K 60p) The LUMIX GH6 offers higher resolutions and faster display speeds than ever before, as well as the newest achievements in the excellent picture quality, versatility, and range required for film, television, and all other sorts of video production.

The LUMIX GH6 also offers internal recording in 4:2:2 10-bit Cinema 4K 60p resolution as well as simultaneous output in 4:2:2 10-bit Cinema 4K 60p format via HDMI. To enable for creative activities, 4:2:0 10-bit 4K 120p (equal to 5x slow motion * 1) and 4:2:2 10-bit FHD 240p HFR (High Frame Rate) video recording with sound are available.

The maximum frame rate of FHD is 300 frames per second (equal to 12.5x slow motion Times 1). Subjects can move dynamically with VFR (Variable Frame Rate).

Panasonic has created a new 25.2-megapixel Live MOS sensor without a Low-pass Filter (LPF), which enables high resolution and quick signal reading, reducing shutter latency and achieving a wide dynamic range.
With a new improved sensor with advanced saturation performance and a new module, you can draw a sharper image even at a high resolution of 25.2 megapixels and a reduced minimum ISO sensitivity of ISO 100 [photos: ISO 50 (extended) - 25600 / videos: ISO 50 (extended) - 12800].

The LUMIX GH6 has a 3-inch touchscreen monitor with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a high resolution of 1840K that can be tilted and rotated at a free angle. Even when an HDMI and USB connection is attached to the camera, this tilt-free and tilt-free screen offers increased flexibility and easier rotation. The LUMIX GH6 has practical manual focusing capabilities to facilitate incredibly fine focusing.

The 3680K dot viewfinder with 0.76x magnification has a very responsive OLED display that allows for detailed shooting of even fast-moving subjects. A high-contrast screen (about 10,000: 1) also displays a topic with fine gradations and great clarity.

The LUMIX GH6 features a new 5-axis gyroscope sensor with extremely high precision and a new algorithm that achieves Body IS in 7.5 levels * 1 and Dual IS2.

With this image stabilization, it is possible to record a high-resolution image in a specific high-resolution mode without using a tripod. The GH6 provides an equivalent image with a resolution of up to 100 megapixels by automatically taking and synthesizing eight photos one after the other while moving the 25-megapixel sensor using the Body IS (Image Stabilizer) technology (11552 x 8672 pixels). It properly reproduces precise details that will be preserved as gorgeous and incredibly realistic photographs in both RAW and JPEG formats.

The Body IS LUMIX GH6's tiny and lightweight design, as well as its strong features, enable it to capture what was previously thought to be impossible, such as ultra-telephoto handheld shooting. The LUMIX GH6 has a large dynamic range of 12+ levels with the factory-installed V-Log shooting mode, which can be expanded to 13+ levels with Dynamic Range Boost mode.

The sound recording performance of the LUMIX GH6 is greatly improved: When an XLR microphone adaptor is connected, 4-channel 24-bit recording at 48 kHz or 96 kHz * is available. This gives us more freedom while recording outside, such as when we have various audio sources or when recording backup sound. 2-channel 24-bit recording in 48 kHz with the built-in microphone is also supported, as is 2-channel 24-bit high-definition recording in 96 kHz * with an external microphone.

5-gigahertz (IEEE802.11ac) * 2 Wi-Fi is supported, as well as 2.4-gigahertz Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11b / g / n). This enables a safe and stable connection, not only with the smartphone/tablet but also with other devices on the premises for easy remote control.

The Panasonic LUMIX G series includes more than 30 Micro Four Thirds lenses for a variety of applications. The LEICA DG VARIO-SUMMILUX 10-25mm F1.7 ASPH. (X-H1025) and LEICA DG VARIO-SUMMILUX 25-50mm F1.7 ASPH. (H-X2550) zoom lenses have a big F1.7 full-aperture aperture and are extremely popular with professional filmmakers, as are other F1.2, F1.7, or F2.8 lenses with a single focal length.

Furthermore, the LUMIX GH6 remembers the name and focal length of analog lenses, such as anamorphic or vintage lenses, so that when these lenses are used, the camera body automatically applies the proper image stabilizer setting.
