Where was Johnny at the time of reading the verdict?

In Newcastle, on the small terrace of The Bridge Tavern pub, fans noticed the famous face drinking beer in the company of friends. So who would have thought that Johnny Depp was sitting and enjoying his beer, at a time when a court verdict was read in America in the lawsuit of the century that the Hollywood actor filed against his ex-wife Amber Heard.

He celebrated his victory by drinking beer with musicians Jeff Beck and Sam Fender, hidden behind sunglasses and a cap. And he couldn't hide his good mood, so he even took photos with his fans.

But soon there was too much crowd, because of which Depp could no longer drink beer in peace, so he left the pub accompanied by a bodyguard, laughing happily and shaking hands with anyone who wished.

Recall, that Johnny Depp sued Heard for $ 50 million after she wrote a text for the Washington Post in 2018 stating that she had been abused. Heard claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse, and although she did not mention Johnny's name anywhere, it was clear on who she was thinking. The actress retaliated with a $ 100 million counterclaim because she believes Depp wants to intimidate and silence her, which is also illegal in America. The jury unanimously decided in favor of Depp so Amber Heard will have to pay the actor a hefty sum.

What if Amber doesn't pay?

"Although Heard could appeal the verdict, she would still have to pay bail for the full verdict of $ 10.35 million, plus interest," said Sandra Spurgeon, a lawyer from the Spurgeon Law Group in Lexington, Kentucky. "For an individual who is unable to pay the amount determined by the judgment and is unable to issue the bond, a real problem arises if the winning person intends to enforce the judgment," Spurgeon told CBS MoneyWatch. In Amber's statement, which she posted on social media after the verdict, Heard did not comment on the financial terms of the verdict.
