A Mysterious residence on the Black Sea: Putin's new Palace

"Putin's Palace", allegedly this residence was made for the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, in the southern part of the country. For a long time, no picture of this building was available to the public, and now we have the opportunity to see what it actually looks like. It is located near Praskovek in Krasnodar.

The research team of Alexei Navalny, a Kremlin critic who is currently in prison, has published hundreds of photos of a huge villa on the Black Sea that was allegedly built for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The photos that emerged, were taken from the air, and the work of Russian opposition activists, who wanted to show the bulk of this complex of several thousand square meters, on a property of 67 hectares, overlooking the Black Sea, beautiful gardens, parks, fountains, swimming pools, heliports, sports fields and a small complex intended for staff who maintain the entire property.

An exploration into this property was published in 2021 and is based on an analysis of official documents and several photographs of the interior of the villa. In the original video, Navalny's team relied on computer-generated depictions of what the villa looked like based on the design plans they were given, the Moscow Times reports.

Activists claim that, although this property is registered as a developing hotel in the public archives, the constant presence of a guard from the Russian security services, as well as suspicious traces of various papers related to this property, indicate the real owner.

In 2010, Sergei Kolesnikov, a businessman, and former Putin assistant published an open letter to the current-time Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, claiming the palace was allegedly built using money from state funds as well as funds from various offshore bank accounts.

The first appearance of photographs of this palace during its construction appeared on the Russian version of the WikiLeaks site six years ago. Now, photographers who have seized the opportunity to photograph it have also presented its classic, luxurious interior, with gilded decor and painted ceilings. Kolesnikov describes this villa as a modern version of the villa of Tsar Peter the Great, and its estimated value is more than a billion dollars.

The initial exploration did not show that the pool room was decorated with statues inspired by the Greeks, among which is the main statue of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea. As with most pieces of furniture, the team's initial estimates of what it looked like were accurate, as they searched the Internet for furniture models by their names and serial numbers and paid for access to catalogs.

However, it is not certain that this villa is really owned by Putin, or this is just another in a series of attempts by the opposition to undermine his credibility. From the Kremlin, officials constantly deny rumors that this villa was built for the current president, who was almost on the list of the ten most beloved people in the whole world.

Any thoughts about it?
