Acer Swift X will debut the Intel Arc A370M

The Intel Arc A370M is one of the specialized GPUs for laptops with which the chip giant plans to re-establish its position in the market. They will be officially unveiled at an Intel event on March 30, but we already know some of the types that will be available.

We saw the Galaxy Book2 Pro with the latest Intel processor last week. A laptop with a 15.6-inch OLED screen with 1080p resolution, a thin and light aluminum chassis, and internal gear that has been upgraded to 12th generation Intel Core processors, Alder Lake, and the aforementioned dedicated graphics. This appears to be the starting point for the remainder of the manufacturers.

Another is Acer, which has a 16-inch laptop with a native resolution of WQXGA for 2560 x 1600. For internal storage, install 16 Gbytes of LPDDR5 memory and an M.2 SSD connected to a PCIe 4.0 connection. So far, the configurations we've seen start at 1,299 dollars with a Core i5-1240P processor and go up to 1,549 dollars with a Core i7-1260P processor.

The main item is the Intel Arc A370M, a graphics card with 4 Gbytes of dedicated VRAM memory on a 64-bit bus that will be part of Intel's entry range announced next week.

The business stated that it will provide twice the frames per second of the most powerful integrated graphics card, the Xe with 96 execution units, albeit they are not expected to provide exceptional performance for large games.

It should be the ideal companion for the low-power Alder Lake CPUs that these ultra-light laptops will employ, and it should be capable of handling light gaming. We'll have to wait to see how high the concrete is.

It should be noted that Intel will also advertise two more top notebook models, the A500 and A700.

The latter will be targeted at huge gaming laptops, with 512 execution units, 4,096 shader cores, and 16 Gbytes of dedicated memory on a 256-bit bus. We will be able to tell you all about it on Wednesday of next week.

And, as we've been saying for months, it'll be critical to have a third major manufacturer that offers alternatives to NVIDIA and AMD.
