NEW iPHONE 13 IS OUT! (VIDEO)

Tim Cook introduced the new iPhone 13, emphasizing durability, water-resistance, and longer battery life, with a ceramic cover for the front. IP68 resistance is still there, as is Notch, so there is no camera under the screen. The front true depth camera is still the main unlock option.

"Green" iPhone

Apple emphasizes green nature, with recycled materials on certain parts of the device. The screen is a Super Retina XDR screen, OLED, with a brightness of 800 nits and 1200 nits in bright light. Unfortunately, there is no refresh rate higher than 60 Hz, as with the Pro model. The smaller Mini model has a 5.4-inch screen with a resolution of 2340x1080 pixels, while the iPhone 13, the only model without any suffix, has a 6.1-inch screen with a resolution of 2532x1170 pixels. 

Bionic A15

The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini are powered by a 6-core A15 Bionic chip (2 fast and 4 energy-saving cores), with stronger performance and better efficiency compared to the previous generation, which is especially due to the 5 nm production process. Apple says the A15 is the fastest CPU in a smartphone, up to 50% faster than today’s fastest phones. The GPU is now 30% faster with four cores and a 16-core neural engine, which is in charge of AI and machine learning, and which will benefit the most in working with images.

Different camera body design, with diagonal camera layout

The camera collects 47% more light with a 12 MP f / 1.7 sensor, and IBIS sensor stabilization technology now comes with the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini phones. The second camera is ultra-wide, as with the previous generation, also of 12 MP, with an angle of 120 degrees, but unlike the Pro series, without macro capabilities and autofocus.

The video brings a Cinematic mode which significantly improves the recording on the new generation of phones. From tracking the subject and tracking the focus on the subjects with the face in the frame to other film effects. This option is available on both the front and rear cameras, while shooting is possible in 4K at 24, 30, or 60 fps.

Battery upgrade

Without much capacity information, Apple states that the new batteries provide 1.5 hours more battery life on the Mini model and 2.5 hours more on the iPhone 13 thanks to smart technologies. There is a fast charging of 20 W, of course, Apple forgot the charger in the package this year as well, and if you use MagSafe wireless charging, 15 W of power is available, and 7.5 W for reverse charging, via the universal Qi standard.
