After Melania Trump never received such an offer, Jill Biden appeared on the cover of the prestigious Vogue
US First Lady Jill Biden graces the new cover of the prestigious Vogue magazine, and the news has raised quite a bit of dust as the former First Lady, Melania Trump, has never received such an offer.
Jill Biden, who was an amateur model and modeler in her youth, was photographed by Annie Leibovitz for Vogue's August issue. The real lady posed in the creations of Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, and Ralph Lauren posing on Truman’s White House balcony, in front of the Oval Office, and inside the East Wing.
In an excerpt from an interview entitled 'The First Lady of All of Us: On the Road with Dr. Jill Biden ’published on Vogue magazine’s website, Jill said she hopes to feel as comfortable at the White House as she does at her million-dollar Delaware beach house.

‘The White House is like my beach house where you feel like it’s perfectly fine to walk straight from the beach in a bathing suit full of sand and sit on the couch. I want people to feel that way in the White House, to feel comfortable, like it’s their house, not to think about every single thing, ‘Oh, I can’t touch that,’ Jill said in a big interview.
Highlighting her work in the administration, including the promotion of Biden’s $ 1.8 billion social welfare packages, the relaunch of a military family support program called ‘Joining Forces’, Biden also commented on aligning the duties of the first lady with three-way lectures at the College of Community in Northern Virginia. However, while she was happy to talk about these topics, Jill ‘stiffened’ when asked about her fashion style and fashion choices.
‘I’m very surprised by the number of comments on the topic of what I’m wearing or what kind of hairstyle I have. I lifted my hair into a bun, so what. Or the one about socks… Fishnet? It’s amazing how many people pay attention to every little detail, ’Jill said, adding,‘ And it wasn’t a fishnet. It wasn't lace either. They were very nice socks. '
Jill also revealed that she has no fashion stylist, which is a rather unusual choice for a person of such a high position. The editor of an Instagram page dedicated to her style, 'dr. Jill Biden Fashion ’, thinks it sends a positive public message about sustainable fashion.
‘I think it’s really great. Jill sometimes buys designer clothes (either ready-made fashion pieces or custom-made ones), which means those clothes are expensive. But she wears it often and has been wearing it for years. I like that she doesn’t wear new clothes for every event because that’s certainly not desirable during a pandemic when people are facing big problems, ’says the editor.
Biden also revealed that she tries to maintain a friendly relationship with journalists and often tries to meet them by holding informal conversations with journalists who travel with her. ‘I don’t think it should be, you know, me against reporters,’ Jill said.
But that is exactly what the former first lady, Melania Trump, who never made the cover of Vogue during Donald Trump's presidency, never did. Namely, in December, Donald Trump posted on Twitter a Breitbart News post in which he wrote: 'Elitist snobs in the fashion press have been keeping the most elegant first lady in American history away from the cover for four years in a row.' The then-president added that his first lady was ‘the greatest lady of all so far."
‘I like to choose between different designers. When I planned the clothes for the inauguration, that was one of the things I took into account, 'says Jill, who is often frequented by fashion designers such as Brandon Maxwell, Gabriela Hearst, and Jonathan Cohen. In an interview, Jill says one of the reasons Joe Biden was elected president is that ‘people wanted someone to cure the nation, not just from the pandemic, but from, you know, everything else, which I think Joe did. Joe is a much calmer president, he calms tensions, 'says Jill.
Vogue also interviewed President Joe Biden who spoke about the newly discovered lack of freedom and privacy. 'I miss her. I'm really proud of her. But the fact is, we can’t go out together like before. When we lived in Delaware and got married, once a month we just went to a local breakfast to spend time together and hang out, 'said the current US president.
