Amy Winehouse's last performance dress to be sold at a charity auction
The dress that singer Amy Winehouse wore on her last performance in Belgrade, Serbia was designed by her stylist Naomi Parry and is expected to fetch up to $20,000
The Grammy-award winner’s mini dress is expected to reach a price of $20,000.
Amy Winehouse wore the black and green halter dress at her final concert which was held in Belgrade in June 2011.
This performance of the famous artist is remembered as a real fiasco, considering that she arrived on stage in a visibly intoxicated state. The rest of that year's European tour had to be canceled due to her illness.
She passed away a month later at the age of 27 in her London home, as a result of alcohol poisoning.
All the income from the sale of her personal belongings, including designer handbags, clothes, underwear, and personal artifacts, will go to the charity foundation founded by her parents, in memory of their prematurely deceased daughter, with the goal of helping young people who are struggling with addiction, reports "The Sun".
“We celebrate her singular talent and iconoclastic style in this collection of her most personal artifacts and wardrobe worn in her career-defining moments,” Amy’s father Mitch said on one occasion adding that the family had decided to sell her personal belongings in order to raise money in her name.
