Epic Games: 2 new free games
There are two new free games in the Epic Games Store, and there will be two more next week. XCOM 2 introduces a strategic legend to the portfolio.
Every week, Epic Games makes at least one free game available; most recently, there were two titles. We show you the games that are currently available as well as the games that will be available in the following week.
This week: Rogue Legacy and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
There are now two free games, as of last week. Some Rogue Lite fans may be familiar with Rogue Legacy. The title, which now has a sequel, was first launched on July 27, 2013, and has received 93 percent of over 14,500 reviews on the rival platform Steam.
Rogue Legacy is a game "a simplified version of the rogue game in which anyone can be a hero When you pass away, your child takes your place. Each child is distinct. One may be colorblind or terrified of heights, and there may also be a small one ".
Next week's game number two is a bit of a surprise. The Astronauts' The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was only available as a free title at the end of 2021, as part of a 24-hour giveaway event.
Perhaps Epic felt that this highly-rated game deserved a second shot because not everyone jumped at the free offer. The mystery game has a huge 88 percent user approval on Steam, but there are some critical voices that are angry about the gameplay, puzzles, and interactivity.
Next week: Insurmountable and XCOM 2
There are two titles again starting with 14.04. At least, that's what the public roadmap states. Let us begin with Insurmountable. The odd rogue-lite game is only a year old and has a remarkable user rating on its competitor Steam: 89 percent acceptance from just over 300 reviewers.
Insurmountable is a roguelike adventure game in which the player must overcome massive mountains. Because of the dynamically generated environment, no two climbs are the same. Varied characters have different abilities, and there are three mountains to conquer in the end. It appears to be quite promising.
XCOM 2 will also be released next week, which scarcely needs to be explained in depth given its popularity. XCOM 2 is the follow-up to 2012's award-winning strategy game XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
It was launched on February 4th, 2016, and currently has a total of 55.00 user ratings on Steam, with an approval rating of 84 percent. XCOM 2 is at least a free game because there are certain DLCs that can be obtained through the free base game. In any event, we welcome this offer.
