From coat to accessories: We want every part of this Rihanna vintage outfit!
Rihanna thrills in vintage pieces and shows that no old clothes should be thrown away!
We are used to the R&B diva always carrying the latest trends from the runway. So earlier this month, she was among the first to carry the new Fendi bag, as well as the tracksuit of the newly formed Brain Dead brand.
However, she proved in her latest fashion edition that she really knows the value of a good vintage designer piece. On a leisurely walk through Los Angeles, Rihanna wore a pastel blue-pink outfit consisting of a 1996 Chanel tweed coat, a bright blue jumpsuit, and a Dior necklace that also dates back to the 1990s, when this fashion house was led by John Galliano.
The whole look is complemented by a white handbag and heels, which, although not in the spotlight, are no less effective.
Rihanna is not the only star to promote vintage pieces in this way. Recently, Kylie Jenner also wore a Versace top from 2005, and Dua Lipa a birthday dress that Naomi Campbell wore for Versace in 1999.
They are an example of how cyclical fashion is, and how modern and contemporary vintage pieces can look, even if they originated several decades ago. Also, in this way, the sustainability that the fashion world desperately needs is promoted.
