The documentary "George Michael - Freedom Uncut" will be presented and screened as a global cinema event on June 22 this year. A new trailer from the upcoming feature-length documentary has been released in which Elton John, Mark Ronson, Jean Paul Gaultier, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, and others talk about the impact of the legendary music video for the song “Freedom! ‘90" directed by David Fincher. Elton John says about the famous video: “That changed the overall picture of the way videos were shot. That video said it all. It was a genius and revolutionary thing.”

Naomi Campbell, who appears in the video, points out: “George presented it to me in Los Angeles and his exact words were: ‘You are the leader of the gang and if you don't say 'yes', the other girls won't’.” The narrator of the documentary is the late singer who worked on the project before he died at the age of 53, on Christmas 2016. George Michael worked on the film in collaboration with producer and friend David Austin. The documentary also stars Stevie Wonder, Ricky Gervais, Neil Rodgers, Liam Gallagher, Mary J. Blige, Tony Bennett, James Corden, and Tracy Emin.

The official description of the documentary reads: "A shocking and touching tribute to the legacy of one of Britain's greatest performers. In his final work, George Michael brings back the story of his career, private life, and controversies in collaboration with co-director, producer, and friend David Austin”.

George Michael was born in 1963 in North London as George Kyriacos Panayiotou. His father was the owner of a restaurant originally from Cyprus, and his mother was an English singer who died of cancer in 1997. The childhood of the music legend was connected to London, and then as a teenager, he moved to Radlett with his family. The relocation also brought him an acquaintance with Andrew Ridgeley, with whom he later founded the group "Wham!". The first "professional" contact with music was the job of a DJ in local clubs, but also the founding of the band "The Executive", which functioned for a short time.
