Harry and Meghan put the queen in an awkward position because of little Lilibet's baptism?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had their second child in May this year, baby girl Lilibet Diana whom they plan to baptize soon.

In recent weeks, it has been reported that they hope the baptism will take place at Windsor Castle, in the presence of Lilibet's great-grandmother and Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, but royal expert Richard Fitzwilliam now claims they have different plans.

"They will do things their own way. It is increasingly likely that the girl's baptism will take place in Meghan's homeland and in strict secrecy," the British Express expert said.

The couple, who have been living in Santa Barbara with their two children since leaving the royal post, has so far not posted any photos of little Lilibet, except the one Meghan accidentally showed in a video on the occasion of her 40th birthday, so Fitzwilliam thinks it's proof they decided to play by our rules.

But it was also written that Harry put his grandmother in a difficult position when he asked her to baptize the girl in Great Britain and according to royal rules, so she had to refuse his request, reports the Daily Mail.

As royal biographer Angela Levin argues, it would be unreasonable for Elizabeth to attend Lilibet’s baptism, given that she has missed several baptisms of her other great-grandchildren in recent years who, like Harry and Meghan’s daughter, are not close in line for the crown.

The Queen did not even attend Meghan's baptism, which took place at a private ceremony in the UK shortly before her marriage to a prince.

Lilibet’s older brother Archie, on the other hand, was baptized in St George’s Chapel on the Windsor estate in 2019, and although she was not required to be at the ceremony, the Queen appeared at it.
