Kate Winslet: I thought I'd died
This year we will see Kate in a role we have never seen her in before - as Ronal in the movie "Avatar 2"
The famous actress Kate Winslet, who won many awards and praises for her role in the mini-series "Mare of Easttown", is returning to HBO, where she is producing the new series "Trust", in which she will also play the main role. It's a mini-series again, based on the bestseller by Hernan Diaz.
The story follows a rich investor, who reads a novel based on his life, but is dissatisfied with the way he is described in it, so he hires his secretary to write his memoirs and improve his image.
Diaz is also one of the executive producers of the adaptation of his novel, whose main themes are wealth, talent, trust, intimacy, truth, and perception. This is Kate Winslet's third collaboration with HBO, who before "Mare of Easttown" played Mildred Pierce in the series of the same name and won Emmy awards for both roles.
This year we will see Kate in a role we have never seen her in before - as Ronal in the movie "Avatar 2" by James Cameron, whom the actress described as a "deeply loyal and fearless leader." “She is strong, she is a warrior. Even in the case of mortal danger, with an unborn baby in her stomach, she joins her people in the fight for what is most important to her: her family and their home” - the actress said.

The plot of the film "Avatar: The Way of Water" takes place more than a decade after the events of the first part, and it is planned that the remaining sequels will be in front of the audience on December 20, 2024, December 18, 2026, and December 22, 2028.
“At the center of each of the four sequels will be the Sully family. Each story will be separate, but when viewed as a whole, the journey through all four sequels will create a great epic saga” - said producer Jon Landau recently.
The official synopsis of the film reads: "Jake Sully and Neytiri have started a family and do everything to stay together. However, they must leave their home and explore the regions of Pandora. When an ancient threat re-emerges, Jake must wage a difficult war against humans."
In addition to Kate Winslet, the film stars Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Vin Diesel, and Trinity Bliss. For filming purposes, the actress learned to hold her breath underwater and even broke the record once set by Tom Cruise, enduring six minutes without air while filming "Mission Impossible ". Winslet managed to last seven minutes and 14 seconds.
“It was brilliant and I'm really proud of myself, but I'll probably never be able to do it again. It happened after four weeks of intensive training in the diving pool. In the end, I thought I'd died” - said the actress.
On the occasion of a new collaboration with director James Cameron many years after "Titanic", the Hollywood star said: “James and I are completely different people now than 26 years ago. He is calmer and I am definitely more hyperactive.”
