Kevin Bacon Celebrated Daughter Birthday
The Hollywood celebs have two children.
Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick used social media to mark a special occasion in their family, including the birth of their daughter Sosie Bacon.
On his Instagram Stories, the actor shared a rare photo of a young Sosie playing with a dog while she naively glanced at the camera.
As Kevin put it, the snapshot was a poignant way to commemorate Sosie's 30th birthday: "Happy 30th birthday to this jewel. Not the dog, but the girl."
She commemorated the milestone by uploading a photo of herself eating pizza with open lunch boxes in the background, captioned "Thirty flirtatious and surviving."
Sosie, like her parents, has had a great career in the entertainment world, having followed in their footsteps and becoming a popular actress.
Kevin and Kyra also have a three-year-old son, Travis, who is a performer, the singer in the band Contracult Collective, and the guitarist in the black metal band Black Anvil.
While the celebrity couple is enthusiastic about their children's occupations, they were first concerned about how they would survive in the very competitive industry.
Kevin had a public breakdown during a dip in his own career, and he didn't want his kids to go through the same thing.
"All we could think about was the fight." And you want your children to have as little difficulty as possible in their lives. You never want anything awful to happen to you. But, of course, that's not going to happen."
Kyra agrees, as she stated in a recent interview: "To be honest, all I want is for them to be happy. Being in this profession, knowing how difficult it is even when you're successful, is challenging. The disappointment, the rejection, the uneasiness of believing you'll never work again... That is not something I want for my children."
Kevin Bacon is a well-known actor, filmmaker, and musician from the United States. He is most recognized for his parts in the conspiracy thriller 'JFK,' the courtroom drama 'A Few Good Men,' and the superhero feature 'X-Men: First Class.' Bacon, who was born in Philadelphia, began acting at the age of 17 when he appeared in a theater performance.
