Nicole Kidman - Confession About Parenthood
Nicole Kidman has opened up about parenthood and shared the reassuring message she tells her children, Sunday, 13, and Faith, 11, when she needs to go for another amazing job.
Nicole opened up about the sense of luxury she feels for her famous career, as well as the sacrifices she and her family must make for her success, in an interview with Jack Smart, awards editor of the Backstage podcast, last month.
The Hollywood actress splits her time between Australia and the United States with her youngest children, whom she shares with her husband Keith Urban.
"You have to realize the sacrifice in terms of the people you love, and what you're asking them to go through," she explained to Jack, before adding, "There are major questions, decisions, commitments, and understanding necessary for everyone on that aspect."
Nicole then revealed what she tells her girls before going on set for filming. "Mum is going to leave, and mum is about to go through this, and I want you to know that it has no bearing on my love for you. But this is something I desperately need in my life, and my creative route is long, but it doesn't mean I don't have anything for you "she clarified
"The same goes for your partner and your pets," she continued.
The Oscar winner also said on Instagram that, despite always being a "cat girl," she is now a cat AND dog lover, thanks to her gorgeous toy poodle Julian! Louis, a black and white cat she rescued in 2020, is her most recent animal member.
"Meet the newest member of our fur-family, Louis!" the BAFTA-winning actress captioned a photo of Louis at the time.
Nicole and Keith recently walked out at the SAG Awards and they have never looked happier!
