Where to stay in Rome
Choosing a place to stay in Rome can be difficult. With 22 different districts, each with several neighborhoods, and with a different atmosphere and price.
Centro Storico
If you run out of time, the historic center is perfect for access from your doorstep to all major attractions such as Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps. The crowds are big, the prices are expensive, but it is an ideal solution for those who are visiting Rome for the first time.
Jewish Quarter
If you want to be in the center, but a little away from the crowds with the charming atmosphere of the old town, stay in the Jewish Quarter.
Not far from Centro Storico, the old Jewish ghetto is full of beautifully curved streets leading from Piazza Venezia to the Tiber River. The famous culinary district is perfect for those who want an authentic Roman experience and a fantastic gastronomic encounter.
Trident and Via Veneto
Trident is one of the most advanced areas of Rome and is technically still part of the historic center. In the immediate vicinity of the Spanish Steps, you will find 4 and 5-star hotels and generally everything for a higher quality of life. In the immediate vicinity of Via Veneto was the residence of politicians, movie stars, and paparazzi during the 50s and 60s. Although it has lost some of its former pizzerias, you will still find elegant hotels and restaurants.
Trastevere
Trastevere is considered a lively, somewhat bohemian, one of the most visited and popular districts in Rome. Exciting nightlife, great restaurants are in a charming district located in the bends of odd streets.
