She lost her life in a terrible and unexpected tragedy, and the confession of her little son further breaks our hearts!

The tragic death of the American actress and star of the "Glee" series, Naya Rivera, shocked her fans, family, and friends who still have a hard time coming to terms with her loss.

Naya, 33, lost her life when she went off the boat, and in the accident, she managed to save her then 4-year-old son Josey, with whom she set sail on Lake Pira.

“She gathered enough energy to get her son back on the boat, but not enough to save herself,” said Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub in which the tragic incident occurred.

The little one told the rescuers who found him, that his mother had gone swimming but had not returned and that he had seen her disappear underwater, after which he fell asleep. That Naya Rivera went missing was discovered after she did not return the rented boat and after one life jacket was found on it while the other was worn by a boy.

After a six-day search, her lifeless body was found in the northeastern part of the lake, and the family did not lose hope of finding her alive until the end.

“The family was at the lake every day, hoping and communicating with our investigators,” the sheriff said.

Naya became famous in the hit series "Glee" as Santana Lopez, which ran from 2009 to 2015. Part of the viewers concluded that the team of the series is under some kind of a curse because, apart from Naya, her colleagues Cory Monteith and Mark Salling are no longer alive.

In addition to Naya's role in "Glee", for which everyone had only words of praise, she also appeared in the sitcom "Royal Family" in which she started acting at just 4 years old and received a nomination for Best Young Actress, the comedy "Master of Disguise" and the series "Step Up ".

Naya had a son Josey with her ex-husband, actor Ryan Dorsey, and after the actress’s death, news spread around the world that her sister Nickayla had moved in with Ryan. He commented on how his son begged him to do so and said he would ignore the vicious comments. The actor thanked Nickayla for stopping her life and modeling career to help him raise his son after Naya’s tragic death.

Prior to her wedding to the actor, she was in a relationship with Big Sean for several months until April 2014, when she said she found out about their breakup when the rest of the world did. He posted everything on the internet and allegedly did not discuss anything with her before that. After Dorsey, she was in a relationship with retired footballer Jermaine Jones, from January 2020 until her death.
