Taylor Swift has 'loaned' her bodyguards to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for NYC trip
The bodyguards of the American singer-songwriter were seen with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during their stay at the Global Citizen Live event in Central Park in New York. The couple was driven around by a former NYPD police officer known as Jimmy who is Taylor Swift's head of security
It is known that Taylor Swift has bodyguards that the Secret Service would not be ashamed of. It’s not yet clear if she just ‘loaned’ Meghan Markle and Prince Harry her guards or they hired them through an agency. The two bodyguards were seen at the posh Carlyle Hotel on the Upper East Side every day during the couple’s stay.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were driven around and guarded by bodyguards including a tall, bald, former NYPD police officer who is also the famous musician's head of security who dealt with an intruder who entered her apartment in April this year in New York's Tribeca neighborhood.
Suspect Hanks Johnson surrendered to police without resistance, and on that occasion it was revealed that an arrest warrant had been issued for him because he did not appear in court in early April where he was to be sentenced for the October 2019 offense.
The second bodyguard assigned to Harry and Meghan hasn’t been seen that often with Taylor Swift. He was with her at the 2019 VMA Awards and was filmed as Swift got into the car. The Daily Mail writes that his ears are twisted, which, they say, suggests that he was a rugby player or a boxer.
By the way, Meghan and Harry arrived in New York on Wednesday where they were seen having a drink at Carlyle’s bar. On Thursday, they visited the World Trade Center with New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and New York Governor Kathy Hochul before setting out to tour the 9/11 Memorial.
