The ice between the quarreling brothers is slowly melting: Princes William and Harry exchange several messages after England's victory over Germany!
England's incredible victory over Germany at the Euros brought great joy to the island, and its consequences could affect the royal family as well. Namely, it seems that the English national football team has achieved something seemingly unthinkable at home .
A stunning 2-0 victory helped dissolve the frozen relationship between Princes William and Harry.
Ever since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their sudden departure from the royal family a year and a half ago, the warring brothers have hardly exchanged a word.
Clearly, they had to be in touch in recent days ahead of today's statue unveiling ceremony in memory of their late mother Princess Diana, but reportedly even exchanged a few text messages over the world's most important sideline and England's victory over Germany on Tuesday.
Insiders emphasize that this is still far from comprehensive rapprochement, but it is the most positive sign so far that the estranged brothers, at least today, could push their differences aside.
"Things are still not going well between them, but there has obviously been an exchange of messages, especially about soccer, which is a step in the right direction, even if it was only in honor of their mother," a source told the Daily Mail.
Prince William, who is president of the Football Association, with his wife Kate and eldest son who is crazy about football attended the Euro game at Wembley.
Royal insiders for the Daily Mail also revealed that Prince Harry had been told how much the family hoped to see his two-year-old son Archie again and that they were looking forward to his soon return to the UK. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children are believed to have seen Archie only once or twice since he was born.
Today’s unveiling of the statue of Princess Diana will take place with a three-and-a-half-year delay, in large part due to the strained relations between the brothers.
Prince William is known to be very hurt and angry at the way Harry has ‘pressed the nuclear button’, not only in his relationship with the monarchy but also with his family.
One, otherwise infallible source, expressed great doubt that the two brothers would ever be able to regain even the semblance of intimacy they once enjoyed.
‘The decision of Harry and Meghan to burn so many bridges behind them and make such terrible accusations against their family in that embarrassing interview with Oprah, knowing they would never have a chance to defend themselves, took a toll. That little bit of trust was truly destroyed, 'said the source.
However, the source acknowledges that there may be hope that the brothers could eventually overcome the schism, at least to the extent that their children, who are nevertheless close relatives, develop some kind of long-distance relationship.
‘It would be a great pity if Archie and Lilibet never actually met George, Charlotte, and Louis,’ the source admits.
