The number of views on "Despacito" music video soon to exceed the number of people on the planet

The song "Despacito" has collected more than seven billion and five hundred million views in four years, the most views for any YouTube video. The total population of the planet Earth is estimated at seven billion and nine hundred million people.

When it was released, the song "Despacito" was a huge planetary hit that was played almost constantly on the radio during 2017 and 2018.

The popularity of this song did not decline during the following years.

Music experts and music journalists have labeled it as a song that deserves the return of Latin sound to mainstream pop.

The lyrics are in Spanish. Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee also did a remix with Justin Bieber which is just as equally popular.
