Wendy Williams announced the return to the small screens after the illness, but shortly after, the show was delayed again
Wendy Williams, one of the most popular and most adored hosts of daily talk shows, announced that she would return with the 13th season of her show after a delay caused by her contracting the coronavirus. But shortly after the announcement, the decision was changed because she "is still dealing with some ongoing medical issues"
American presenter, Wendy Williams (57) is not going to return to her purple chair from which she predicts the duration of celebrity couples’ relationships soon.
Recently, the 13th season of her talk show was postponed after Williams became infected with the Covid-19 virus. Her brother Tommy said through his YouTube channel that Wendy ended up in the hospital.
"The fight is not easy. I really believe Wendy will get away with it. It is not easy, but it is necessary. She is currently stable. I talked to her and she's holding on. We pray. She is fighting," he said.
Her health condition was further jeopardized by the fact that the presenter was suffering from lymphedema, which caused her feet to 'turn green' from the progressive swelling of the intercellular tissue. Wendy's feet were so swollen she needed help walking.

In addition to fighting coronavirus and lymphedema, Williams also suffers from Graves' disease, which is the most common form of hyperthyroidism. It is an autoimmune metabolic disorder that occurs due to excessive thyroid activity or excessive secretion of thyroid hormones.
Some of her co-workers said the famous presenter is also battling alcoholism, despite Wendy herself admitting she was in rehab last year.
“Wendy drank every day before going to the hospital, even while filming the show,” a source told The Sun, adding that staff smelled alcohol near her.
"Everyone sees it, but no one wants to say anything because they are afraid for their job. She was always drunk, and the only time she was sober was while she was recovering from alcohol. She is an alcoholic and it is difficult. She doesn't need a show, she needs help," the source added.
Recently, in a short post, Williams announced that ‘the wait is over’ and that her viewers would be able to enjoy the new episodes from Monday, October 4th. Many were happy about the news, but some expressed their dissatisfaction.
"I'm looking forward to it, but I don't believe Wendy has recovered," one fan wrote.
"I care more about Wendy and her health than the show ..." someone else wrote.
Apparently, the fans were right because just a few hours after the announcement, a new post appeared on the show's Instagram profile stating that the show will not be returning on October 4 due to Wendy's "other ongoing medical issues" although she recovered from COVID-19.
