Wendy Williams canceled the show: The host returned to alcohol

According to the British tabloids, the presenter allegedly returned to the old vices, which is why she worried the people around her, who are afraid that she will not be ready to return to small screens again.

Wendy Williams was admitted to a New York hospital, five days after she canceled all promotional activities and media appearances. A source close to the presenter told The Sun that before the hospitalization she "had drunk alcohol every day", and she was admitted to the hospital for psychological observation.

Williams has always been open with viewers when it comes to her health problems, more precisely, her struggle with Graves' disease, hyperthyroidism, and lymphedema, and there is also a long-term addiction to crack, cocaine, and alcohol.

Many believe that the main reason is that in 2019, after twenty years of marriage, she divorced her husband Kevin Hunter, who in the meantime had a child with his mistress. In the midst of the scandal, Wendy signed up for rehab, from which she came every day to film her show.

"I struggle with addictions, alcoholism, and I have a whole new life that I have planned for myself and my son," she told viewers in April 2020.

However, everyone noticed that she has appeared on the air "under the influence" several times since then, barely uttering words. The workers claim that she has returned to alcohol again, in such quantities that it can be "smelled in the hallway".

"Her staff is worried, but no one wants to talk, everyone is afraid of losing their jobs. She's an actual alcoholic. She doesn't need a talk show. She needs help," said the source.

On September 15, her spokesperson confirmed that she was infected with the coronavirus, although she was vaccinated twice so that she could continue recording the show with as little difficulty as possible.
