What is behind Fran Drescher’s smile?
She survived the rape, and her husband surprised her with a secret. Fran Drescher was horrified during the burglary of her home and her ex-husband, and overcame a serious illness.
Fran Drescher (64) became famous in the comedy series 'Nanny' as Fran Fine, and one event from her past shocked the public. Everyone is used to her big smile and no one knew how her life story was sad.
The American actress and comedian appeared last Sunday at the annual SAG Awards. Fran shone in a black tight dress that had gold trim on the chest area.
She posed for photographers with a big smile on her face as usual at festive events, and the public always admired the management of her positive attitude after experiencing the horror. Namely, in 1985, two armed burglars entered the home of her and her ex-husband Peter Marc Jacobson. One raped Fran and the other her friend while Peter was tied up and blindfolded.
It’s not the only horror she’s experienced. The actress found out in 2000 that she was suffering from cervical cancer, and a year earlier she divorced her husband, who later admitted that he was gay.
“I have an ex-husband who I love and he meets many of my needs. I have a friend with benefits. We meet twice a month, which is more than enough. He comes to me, we hang out, we prepare a hot bath, I make food, we go to bed, we watch tennis or some good movie. Of course, we also have intimate relationships and that’s what keeps me going,” Fran shocked Page Six.
The two are still on friendly terms which can be seen in the shared photos they post on Instagram. On one occasion Fran pointed out that she enjoys being a free woman. ‘I think I had to work very consciously not to be addicted or scared to be alone and work independently. I really had to make an effort to move on. And I think I'm fine now, ' she said.
Recall, Francine Joy Drescher is an American actress, comedian, writer, activist, and trade union leader. She is best known for her role as Fran Fine in the television sitcom The Nanny (1993–1999). She created and produced this sitcom with her then-husband, Peter Marc Jacobson. Drescher is also the recipient of the John Wayne Institute's Woman of Achievement Award, the Gilda Award, the City of Hope Woman of the Year Award. There are many more awards.
