Pierce Brosnan defends his wife: "I don't need a supermodel"

Although Pierce Brosnan's career spans four decades, he is best known for portraying secret agent James Bond in the eponymous film series between 1995 and 2002. However, he experienced several tragic moments during his life, Brosnan managed to preserve his vitality, and he pointed out several times that his wife Kelly, whom he met back in 1994 in a cafe in Mexico, has helped him the most.

Before his marriage with Kelly, Pierce was married to Cassandra Harris, who tragically passed away in 1991 from cancer. The famous actor and former agent 007 had a hard time overcoming this loss, and it was written that he fell into depression. His wife Keely, whom he met a few years after the death of his first wife, saved him from completely indulging in black thoughts. The couple met in 1994 in a cafe in Mexico, when Brosnan was going through a very difficult period in his life at the time.

Pierce adopted Cassandra's children during his first marriage, but in 2013 he was struck by another tragedy. Namely, his adopted daughter died of ovarian cancer, just like her mother. During this painful period, Brosnan was comforted by the newly chosen one. In recent years, her appearance has been the subject of foreign media because she "gained" a few kilograms. Malevolent tabloids wrote about how Brosnan still looks fantastic, while his wife "neglected".

Brosnan and Keely have been married since 2001 and have two sons, model Paris and actor Dylan. Over the years, since his wife has gained some weight the actor has faced attacks, but he emphasized several times that he "does not need any supermodel, but a real woman".

It seems that the Hollywood actor does not pay too much attention to these comments, because he often shares photos with his love via Instagram and emphasizes how much he loves her.

"I love her vitality, her passion. When Kelly looks at me, she always knocks me off my feet and I feel my knees kneel," the famous Irishman said on one occasion.
