Windows 11: New update fixes 40-minute boot bug

Microsoft has released KB5012643, a new optional update for Windows 11. Some issues, such as misaligned or shortened video subtitles or button bugs, are fixed by the company. A boot problem and a memory leak have also been fixed.

A new upgrade for Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows 11, is now available. Patch KB5012643 should fix certain bugs. The update is currently optional and can be downloaded via Windows Update or manually. If you're not experiencing issues right now, you can wait until May 10th, when Microsoft releases its next monthly update.

Update with fix for boot bug and memory leak

Microsoft provides some highlights from Windows 11 update KB5012643. Fixing problems that caused video subtitles to be partially cut off or misplaced is one example.

Furthermore, the temperature should now appear above the weather symbol on the taskbar. In addition, there should be an update on a bug that was causing button troubles. The "minimize," "maximize," and "close" buttons should operate even if the app window is maximized.

Update KB5012643 should also provide some respite to businesses and normal PC users. A mistake is alleged to have caused occasional delays in launching the operating system on certain point-of-sale terminals.

Some PCs are alleged to have taken up to 40 minutes to boot up. Furthermore, a memory leak that occurred on systems that are used 24 hours a day, seven days a week is stated to have been repaired. Furthermore, the upgrade should bring forth additional enhancements.

Microsoft recently disclosed in a podcast that the Sun Valley 2 update for Windows 11 will have a more colorful task manager. The software should support the operating system's accent colors. As a result, the task manager should fit better with Windows 11's new style.
