'Divorces and breaks are sad, but also beautiful,' says Zoë, who is working on the film she wrote as well as new music inspired by her love life.
Actress, singer, and soon-to-be director Zoë Kravitz is enjoying her thirties to the fullest and is obviously going through a very creative period. In addition to finally having a chance to see her in the role of Catwoman in the new ‘Batman’ next year, she worked diligently on the screenplay for ‘Pussy Island’ which she will also direct, and the lead role is intended for her new boyfriend Channing Tatum.

However, Zoë focused her creative energy not only on cinematography but also on music. Former member of the electropop band Lolawolf has been working on and off for years on a solo album, produced by the famous Jack Antonoff. The album about love and loss was inspired by her personal experience of divorce from actor Karl Glusman after a year and a half of marriage, she said in an interview with AnOther.
‘It’s personal. It’s about love and loss. I got married. I got divorced. Separations, break-ups are sad but are beautiful things too. It’s about the bittersweetness, that beginning, and that end. It’s so complex, that space, when you’re in between heartbroken and mourning the loss of something and excited for what’s ahead of you.,’ said Zoë, announcing music that has been evolving over a long period of time and brings a whole range of different emotions. We can't wait to listen!
