Adele is OUT and Keith Urban is IN!
Apparently, it didn't take long for Caesars Palace to find a replacement after Adele postponed a series of her performances in Las Vegas.
Adele recently canceled a series of sold-out performances in Las Vegas at the last minute, causing shock, disbelief, and disappointment with both sides, fans and organizers. She informed fans about the decision via a video on her Instagram profile, and in tears, she said that members of her team are infected by the coronavirus and she can not perform without them. However, many are now speculating that the truth is somewhat different and that she postponed the performances because she was dissatisfied with the production.
However, after that dramatic cancellation, it didn't take long for Caesars Palace to find a replacement for Adele. So Keith Urban announced an additional five performances in Las Vegas, on the days when Adele was supposed to perform. Namely, the 54-year-old country star now has five additional performances at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace between March 25 and April 2, in terms that were originally reserved for Adele. Keith will perform in Las Vegas on the last weekend in March and the first weekend in April, as well as on March 30 on a weekday, and these weekends were until recently reserved as part of Adele's planned quarterly performances.
The performances were announced by Keith himself, who posted a video on Twitter in which he holds his cat Louis in his arms. 'Vegas !!!! We are coming back ! 'he wrote in the description of the published video.
Urban’s announcement came a week after Adele in tears told fans she was postponing a series of performances in Las Vegas that were set to begin on January 21st. Adele apologized and said that her show isn’t ready. As she said they tried absolutely everything that is in their power to put everything together on time and to be good enough for fans but they were absolutely ruined by the delay in delivery and COVID. Half of her team is diagnosed with coronavirus and they are still sick. It was impossible to finish the show and she can’t give her public what she wanted. She also apologized because she revealed this at the last minute, but she said that they tried to solve problems but they didn't succeed.
Two days later, Adele spoke via FaceTime with a group of fans who had gathered at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on the day her first performance was due to take place. Then the 30-year-old singer promised fans gift packages from her gift shop and offered to meet her at her next performance, for which it is not known when and where will be.
