An extended weekend in Barcelona!
This destination is not only interesting at a time when it is very warm because Barcelona is a city that lives to the fullest 24 hours a day and so 365 days a year. Of course, the advantage is to go during the summer season because the sea and beautiful beaches simply entice with their beauty.

If you find it difficult to go by car, although this also has its advantages, air transport to Barcelona is available in every country. In addition, plane tickets are more than affordable, and the ride itself is, depending on where you take off, very short. The airport in Barcelona is more than well connected to the city center, both by public and taxi transport.

Once you decide to travel to Barcelona the recommendation is to buy a ticket for public transport, called Hola Barcelona. You can buy a ticket online for 2, 3, 4 or 5 days. In this way, it is quite convenient, and Barcelona itself is very spacious and it is a great challenge to visit all the attractions on foot.

1. Holy Family
This is definitely the first thing you have to visit in Barcelona. It is good to start from there because every next attraction is close to it. The construction of this imposing building began back in 1882, and Antonio Gaudi worked on a part of the basilica, and that part is also under the protection of UNESCO. Entrance to the basilica itself is paid and the ticket can be purchased directly or online.
2. Plaque of Catalonia
This is the largest square in the city center and also the favorite place for pigeons.
3. The Rambla
The most famous promenade in Barcelona is 1.3 km long and continues to Placa de Catalunya.
4. La Boqueria
The main fresh food market in Barcelona has been operating for over 200 years. The market is located at the end of the famous promenade.
5. Gothic Quarter and Cathedral of Barcelona
This cathedral dates back to the 13th century and is definitely a must-see as well as the district in which the cathedral is located.
6. Arc de Triomphe in Barcelona and Ciutadella Park
In the vicinity of the Gothic Quarter is the Arc de Triomphe of Spain, built-in 1888. On the upper part of the triumphal arch are the coats of arms of all 49 Spanish provinces. At the opposite end of the triumphal arch is the Ciutadella Park, which has a handful of greenery and the Barcelona Zoo.
