Which sleeping position makes you look older?
An expert spoke out about which sleeping position makes you look older.
People generally have a favorite sleeping position. Whether you are a fan of the fetal position, sleeping on your stomach with one leg out of the blanket, or enjoying sleeping on your back, you have surely heard about the various advantages and disadvantages of your favorite style.
According to Dr. Beth Goldstein, you should always avoid sleeping on your side because this position could promote the formation of wrinkles. This is the worst position when it comes to your look because the face is pressed against the pillow for hours in an unnatural position. If you always sleep on your side the same goes for the look of your chest, where lines may appear. Sleeping on your stomach could be just as bad, as sleeping on your side. According to experts, wrinkles that are a consequence of sleeping on our stomachs are thought to be the result of constant pressure on our skin.
“When you’re young and you have a lot of collagen and the supporting elements of your skin, those wrinkles go away soon after waking up, but over time, prolonged pressure can really lead to nightmare wrinkles,” the expert added.

Sleeping on your back is the best option for feeling fresh and for your skin!
If you are prone to twitching and frequent turning during the night, you can try putting pillows on both sides of your face and body to prevent turning on your side while you sleep.
While it would be nice to spare your face wrinkles for as long as possible, it’s nicer than anything when you wake up rested. Goldstein says that if you can't sleep on your back, it may not be worth compromising: "After all, people who fall asleep and rest look younger, which means the best way to sleep is the one you feel most comfortable in."
