Angelina broke the record on Instagram just three hours after she created the profile!
After recently opening a profile on Instagram, Angelina Jolie was followed by a million people in three hours, thus breaking the record and becoming the user who reached that number of followers the fastest.
After recently opening a profile on Instagram, Angelina Jolie was followed by a million people in three hours, thus breaking the record and becoming the user who reached that number of followers the fastest.
That record has so far been held by actor Rupert Grint (best known for his role as Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films) who reached a million followers in four hours and one minute since the profile opened.
Before him, the record was held by Sir David Attenborough (four hours and 44 minutes) who was succeeded by Jennifer Aniston who held the record of five hours and 16 minutes for almost a year.
Angelina opened the profile on Friday, August 20, and the first thing she posted was a letter from a teenage girl from Afghanistan. The announcement has been liked by 3.6 million people so far.
In a description of the photo, Angelina indicated that she came to Instagram to “share the stories and voices of those around the world who are fighting for their basic human rights”.
