The past year has been followed by a series of allegations against Armie Hammer of sexual abuse and even cannibalism.
Actor Armie Hammer, 35, was spotted with children at a swimming pool in the Cayman Islands a few days ago where he spent his holidays.
It is the first time he has been spotted in public in more than half a year following the rehabilitation he signed up for to cure himself of drug, alcohol, and sex addiction.
This actor had a glittering career ahead of him, but then he was caught up in a series of scandals. He first divorced 39-year-old Elizabeth Chambers in 2020, to whom he had been married since 2010 and with whom he has two children. His affair with 'Rebecca' partner Lily James was reportedly to blame for the divorce.
His life began to collapse and finally, it all culminated at the end in January 2021, when multiple women accused him of sexual abuse. An anonymous Instagram account posted footage of messages he allegedly sent to women between 2016 and 2020 describing his sexual fantasies involving abuse and then even cannibalism.
The girl who identified herself in public as Effie even accused him of rape. She claims the actor sexually and physically abused her for four hours in April 2017 and that they had been in a turbulent relationship for four years while he was still married.
Model Paige Lorenze accused him of telling her he wanted to find her a doctor to remove her bottom ribs because he wanted to smoke them, cook them and then eat them. The actor reportedly kept telling her that she didn't really need those ribs.
Courtney Vucekovich also dated the actor for a while and confirmed that he loved sadism, as well as talking about wanting to break and eat her ribs. Hammer and his defense team have denied all charges. He also mentioned in some messages bringing men to bed to be his slaves.
The Los Angeles Police Department was conducting an investigation into the rape allegation. They recently confirmed that the investigation is over and have referred the case to the local district attorney's office.
Hammer’s bright future
Up to the moment that numerous scandals began to surface, Armie’s career was really beginning to set off. One of his last movies, before the rehab stint, was Call Me by Your Name.
A coming of age romantic drama, directed by Luca Guadagnino, was of sorts his breakthrough role.
The movie depicts two young men living in the 80s, struggling with their sexuality and trying to discover themselves. Hammer plays Oliver, a 24-year-old American graduate student of archeology, who slowly falls in love with Elio, a 17-year-old, whose father is an archeology professor.

In the 1980s Italy, romance blossoms between a seventeen-year-old student and the older man hired as his father's research assistant.
For that role he was nominated for Golden Globe, however it all soon started going downhill for him.
