Bang & Olufsen presents Beoplay EX

Bang & Olufsen has recently expanded its offering for audiophiles with the introduction of the new Beoplay EX, completely wireless headphones that aim to revolutionize the high-end with 9.2-millimeter speaker drivers, features such as active noise cancellation, and an aesthetic redesign that aims to follow in the footsteps of Apple's AirPods Pro.

The first thing that impresses us about these headphones is the abandonment of their traditional circular button-type structure in favor of the popular rod-style design. A cosmetic improvement that is also supported by a structural improvement, with the addition of IP57 certification for water and dust protection.

However, this is not the only change. And it is that the Beoplay EX features 9.2-millimeter speakers (a significant increase over the 6.8-millimeter speakers used in last year's Beoplay EQ), despite the fact that the overall weight of the headphones is only 6 grams.

On the other hand, the business has added up to 6 microphones (three in each earphone) in the Beoplay EX, aimed both for usage in calls and for the noise cancellation system itself.

In terms of sound reproduction, we will support AAC and AptX Adaptive audio codecs, ensuring clear and high-quality audio over the whole tonal range.

We will also find an upgraded connectivity area, with the addition of Bluetooth 5.2 multipoint, which will allow us to connect to any device fast and effortlessly, with support for Google, Apple, and Microsoft's quick synchronization functions.

In terms of battery life, the Beoplay EX has a 70 mAh battery in each earphone, which guarantees us up to 6 hours with noise cancellation turned on and up to 8 hours without.

Furthermore, its case will provide us with an extra 380 mAh with a rapid charging system capable of providing us with nearly two hours of use in just 20 minutes, or returning the full charge of the headphones in only an hour and a half, expanding the total autonomy up to 21 hours of playback.

The new Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EX is already available for pre-order on the brand's official website, with shipments scheduled for April 28.

With three color choices to select from, a completely black finish, a combination of black and blue, or gold headphones, it should be emphasized that the price of these headphones is not for everyone, increasing to no less than 399 dollars.

Although it is worth noting that the price is without a doubt reasonably consistent in relation to the features they provide, with the greatest level of construction and sound.
