Garmin Vivosmart 5 activity bracelet

Garmin's Vivosmart 5 is the company's first fitness tracker in more than three years. It is larger and more capable in every way than previous generations, and it comes with numerous new features at a greater price.

Garmin is the market leader in the selling of heart rate monitors (with Polar's license) and has an amazing offering with different series for any user searching for a competent activity tracker for sports tracking and health care. If the watch format has all you may want, the bracelet style is more discrete when compared to competitors such as Fitbit.

In reality, it has been more than three years since the release of its most recent Vivosmart 4 model. The fifth-generation has arrived, and while it took some time, it has arrived appropriately updated for the occasion.

Garmin has preserved the series' overall design, but it is instantly noticeable that it is considerably different. The screen is significantly larger, with rounded sides and no metal borders. The 66 percent increase in size is overwhelming, and it is also brighter to better its use outdoors, and the font size has also risen.

The screen is also more sensitive thanks to a new digitizer for touch control, and it features a built-in physical button to help with controls and navigation. Garmin tackles the most contentious concerns of the previous model in this manner.

Vivosmart 5 introduces a new wrist heart rate sensor that continuously measures the HR at rest, during sports activity, and sends notifications when levels are too high or too low.

It also displays your body's "energy levels" throughout the day, allowing you to choose the optimal periods for exercise and rest, while the Pulse Ox sensor measures your blood oxygen saturation at any time of day or night as you sleep.

There are other health and activity tracking options available, including sleep score, stress tracking based on whether you had a peaceful, balanced, or hectic day, hydration levels, menstrual cycle or pregnancy tracking for women, and blood pressure tracking.

There are also activity profiles for running, cycling, swimming (5 ATM water resistance rating), walking, yoga, Pilates, aerobics, mindful breathing, strength training, and more.

The new smart bracelet can be coupled with Android and iOS smartphones through Bluetooth to receive GPS functions, emails, text messages, and alerts straight on the bracelet, and even respond to text messages (Android). It also works with the Garmin Connect platform, which allows you to connect, compete, and share with other people.

Garmin has abandoned the unibody design in favor of interchangeable bands to replace the original silicone one, as well as a battery life of up to 7 days in smartwatch mode. Without a question.

The Vivosmart 5 is larger, better, and more capable than its predecessors, yet it costs 149 dollars and is already available in select locations in white, black, and mint color finishes.
