BMW shows details of the i7 with 8K screen
BMW presented details of the future i7 electric automobile during the presentation of the annual numbers for 2021. An 8K screen with an integrated Amazon Fire TV Stick should be a standout.
In the coming years, Opel and other Stellantis brands will provide infotainment systems with Fire OS, allowing Amazon Music, Prime Video, and other services to be accessed in the car. BMW stated that the forthcoming top model i7 will include an 8K screen with a built-in Fire TV Stick for rear passengers during the presentation of the annual numbers for 2022.
As the future entertainment option, BMW offers the Theater Screen, which will debut in the next 7 Series G30 and will also be available in the electric car version i7. This is a 31-inch, 8k, 32:9 screen that slides out of the headliner to entertain backseat passengers. The touchscreen may also be operated with remote control, which is housed in a holder in the doors.
BMW collaborated with Amazon, which is now offering a Fire TV Stick with a connection to Prime Video and other services in the car. There are 128 gigabytes of storage available, and films and other media may be streamed to the BMW Theater Screen through a 5G connection, however, users will most likely have to pay BMW a premium for the data amount.
A new music system with over 30 loudspeakers, two of which are mounted directly in the rear seats, is accompanying the voyage. When the touchscreen is extended, the back windows are darkened to avoid disturbing traffic behind. Furthermore, the optional Sky Lounge panoramic glass roof with individually adjustable LEDs creates a welcoming environment. According to BMW, the BMW Theater Screen feature will soon be available for purchase in all of the company's high-class cars.
The outlines of the kidney might be lighted to draw attention to the front. Customers, particularly in Asia, appear to value a majestic appearance and favor huge cooling handle options. Also new are the upper lighting elements made of crystal glass, which for the first time in a BMW are designed to be physically separate from the double round headlights.
The new BMW 7 Series, which includes the i7 electric vehicle, will make its debut in China on April 20 at the Auto China Beijing trade show.
