JBL Quantum 810 & 610: Wireless gaming headsets

JBL has introduced two wireless over-ear headphones, the Quantum 810 and 610. Both gaming headphones should impress with their extended battery life and low pricing.

Active noise cancellation is present in many lifestyle headphones or headsets, however, it is rarely featured in gaming devices. It is frequently a passive suppression of ambient noise, which is less expensive to implement than true ANC.

JBL, which is owned by Harman/Kardon and Samsung, has recently released two wireless gaming headphones, the Quantum 810 variant which includes active noise cancellation.

The 810 supports Bluetooth 5.2 in addition to a 2.4 GHz wireless connection, which distinguishes it from the other headsets. For improved intelligibility, a beam microphone with echo and noise cancellation is added.

The JBL Quantum 610 has only one folding microphone and can only be utilized wirelessly. In comparison to the more expensive Quantum 810, the Quantum 610 is stated to have a battery life of up to 40 hours, whereas the 810 may be used wirelessly for 43 hours.

You can charge both headsets via cable and use them simultaneously if you like. The soundscape features 50 mm drivers powered by the JBL Quantum Sound Signature.

JBL Quantum Engine PC program provides RGB illumination, equalization adjustment, microphone mute, and other customization features and DTS Headphone X Version 2.0 is only available in conjunction with the PC software.

The company claims that the ear cushions should be coated in leather, but there are no plans to replace them. In addition to the USB connection, you can use a 3.5 mm jack cable to operate the Quantum 810 and Quantum 610.

The Quantum 810 is currently available for 200 dollars, while the Quantum 610 is only around 150 dollars.
