Boris Johnson's wife is expecting her second child after a miscarriage!

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie are expecting their second child, British media reported on Saturday.

Their first child, son Wilfred, was born in April last year.

The media writes that Carrie posted on Instagram to her friends that she feels “incredibly blessed” to be pregnant again.

She also admitted to having a miscarriage earlier this year. “At the beginning of the year, I had a miscarriage, which broke my heart,” she wrote.

"Fertility issues can be really tough for some people, especially when on platforms like Instagram everything always seems to be going well."

She said she was comforted at the time to hear others who had gone through a similar situation, "so I hope that in some very small way sharing this could help others as well."

The couple got married in May this year. The prime minister, 57, had been married twice before, and with his second wife, lawyer Marina Wheeler, he had four children.

Carrie, 33, is due to give birth in December, the media added.
