Naomi Campbell introduces her daughter to the world for the very first time; "I always knew one day I would have a child"
Naomi Campbell posed along with her daughter and revealed some details about her.
Last year in May, when she announced that she became a mother, celebrity model Naomi Campbell shocked and surprised the entire world.
The model, who before that didn't hint that she was expecting a baby, posted the bombastic news on Instagram. ‘This little blessing chose me to be her mother. I'm so honored to welcome this gentle soul into my life. There aren't any words to explain the connection I'm now sharing with you, my angel. There's no greater love ', she wrote next to the photo in which only the feet of the newborn may be seen.
After this announcement, there was plenty of debate about how Naomi became a mother, and since it was not known at the time whether the model was dating, the identity of the child's father was a big mystery. It was speculated if the baby was adopted, or maybe the supermodel became parent via surrogate. But Naomi didn't respond - until now.
The model posed for the cover of the British edition of Vogue magazine with her daughter in her arms. A beautiful photo was taken by Steven Meisel. Naomi also revealed several details about her baby. ''She isn't adopted, she is my child. I could count on the fingers of one hand how many people knew about it. She is the greatest blessing I could imagine, the best thing that ever happened to me,'' said Naomi.
She said she always knew she would become a mother one day, and that it was the greatest joy she could imagine. "I'm so lucky to have her and I am very aware of that", said the model, and when asked if she would like more children, she replied: "Why not?"
When asked what was her biggest surprise that came along with motherhood, she said: 'My daughter always comes first.' 'Everything I do, I do it for her, that's it. It's complete selflessness, isn't it? ', added Naomi. She still refuses to reveal the girl's name, but she definitely can not hide how happy she is.
