Britney Spears was accused of attacking her housekeeper, but her lawyer said that the whole story was fake and that nothing happened.
A new drama in the life of Britney Spears. Just when the public thought that the singer was on her way to get rid of legal problems and imposed guardianship, information arrived that the police were currently investigating the alleged attack that took place in her home.
Police were called to the singer's home after a member of her staff reported a fight on Monday night, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office said. No injuries were reported, and the information from the scene will be handed over to prosecutors for consideration, the sheriff's office added.
According to the American media, Spears allegedly attacked the maid, hitting her on the arm from which the phone then fell out.
The singer's lawyer Matthew Rosengart said in a statement to the media that it was "an exaggerated sensationalist tabloid story, which is completely fake."
He added that "anyone can file a lawsuit, but that this one should be closed immediately because it is obvious that there was no blow or any injury."
Spears hired Rosengart last month in an attempt to regain control of her life after spending the last 13 years under judicial supervision that has power over her money and life in general.
