Cameron Diaz worked as drug mule?

Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz recently returned to the acting stage after an eight-year hiatus and will star in the film "Back In Action", so she is currently active in the media. She almost talked about motherhood, and now she spoke on the podcast "Second Life" where she recalled what her life was like in the early nineties when, in search of work, she moved to Paris.

I was in Paris for a whole year and I didn't work a single day. I couldn't find any job to survive. Then I got a job, but it turned out that I was a mule who was supposed to transport drugs to Morocco, I swear to God” - said the actress. As she said, she didn't know what she had with her until she arrived at the airport, and when she realized it, she panicked.

“It was in the early 90s and they gave me a locked suitcase that supposedly contained my costumes. I am a blonde, blue-eyed girl in Morocco. I'm wearing ripped jeans and platform boots, my hair is down, and this is really unsafe. I told them: ‘I don’t know, it's not mine, I have no idea whose it is'. That was the only job I got in Paris” - added Cameron.

She somehow managed to get out and return to France with American officials, avoiding a possible 10-year prison sentence for drug trafficking. Her film career began with the lead role in the film "The Mask", where she played alongside Jim Carrey.

Recall, Diaz announced in 2018 that she was retiring from acting to focus on other aspects of life, including her family, and her retirement was a blow to fans. Diaz has starred in a number of Hollywood hit films during her acting career, including ‘The Mask’, ‘Charlie’s Angels’, and ‘Vanilla Sky’’, and is now set to appear in Netflix’s new film ‘Back in Action’.

According to Variety, the film is an action-comedy starring Diaz and Foxx, who previously collaborated on the 1999 film ‘Any Given Sunday’ and the 2014 remake of ‘Annie’.
