Charles and Camilla to star in a soap opera

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will be special guests in one episode of the "EastEnders" series on the occasion of the Queen's platinum jubilee. The scenes were filmed back in March when they visited the team of the popular television soap opera.

In one of the scenes, Charles and Camilla join the residents of Albert Square at a street party held as part of the 70th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II, the BBC reported. The episode is scheduled to air on BBC One on June 2. Viewers of the series have already had the opportunity to see how Mick Carter, when Danny Dyer plays, decides to organize a party on the occasion of the Queen's jubilee, announcing special guests.

In the episode announced for June 2, the visitors of the party will be shocked when they see members of the royal family. Charles and Camille will be greeted by Mick and Linda Carter, played by Kellie Bright, and they will introduce them to the people of Walford.

Speaking about the meeting with the royal couple, Bright said that they were incredibly fun. “I just thought: Wow, they've never done anything like this before" - she said and added: "They didn't really know what to expect, I think that must have annoyed them a little, because they were completely out of the usual protocol they were used to," Bright said, emphasizing that she enjoyed their company.

Recall, when Queen Elizabeth II celebrated the 70th anniversary of her reign, she delighted the public with the news that she would be succeeded by her eldest son Charles, Prince of Wales, which is not a surprise, but another part in which she expresses a wish that his wife Camilla, best known for the title of Duchess of Cornwall, get the title of Queen, was a novelty.

My sincere wish is that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as the Queen” - Queen Elizabeth stated at the time, which surprised everyone.
