Damian Lewis and Helen McCrory's love story
Actor speaks for the first time about death that ended a great love affair. He lost his wife Helen on April 16 last year after her difficult battle with breast cancer.
Damian Lewis, 50, spoke publicly for the first time about the loss of his wife, Helen McCrory.She died nine months ago at age of 53 from breast cancer.
The actor came with his daughter Manon (15) and son Gulliver (14) to the Royal National Theater in London and paid tribute to Helen. She was known for her roles in the film franchise ‘Harry Potter’ and the series ‘Peaky Blinders’. At a poetry evening dedicated to the late McCrory, was released a video of her reciting a poem. Everyone could see that Lewis listened with his eyes closed.
"This evening is for her and it is perfect because Helen adored the National Theater. The person whose 'thunder would not be stolen' is absolutely Helen McCrory, " Damian said.
