David Fincher's new movie: "The Killer"
David Fincher, the legendary director of cult thrillers such as "Fight Club", and "Zodiac", directed a new film based on the French comic book.
"The Killer" is the name of Fincher's new film, and it is an adaptation of the French comic of the same name written by Matz and Luc Jacamon.
The film was presented at the 80th Venice International Film Festival on September 3, 2023, where it was in competition for the Golden Lion. After Film Festival this movie had a limited release in cinemas at the end of October. Now, we will have the opportunity to watch it on Netflix from November 10.
"The Killer"- plot and actors
"The Killer" tells the story of a ruthless killer who, after one wrong step, finds himself stalking his victims in a global manhunt. Lonely and cold, methodical and conscientious, the killer does not bother with scruples or rules. Hidden in the shadows, he is waiting for his next victim. The longer he waits, the more upset he gets.
The main role in the film is played by Michael Fassbender, while the cast includes: Tilda Swinton, Charles Parnell, Arliss Howard, Kerry O'Malley, Sophie Charlotte, Sala Baker, Emiliano Pernia and Gabriel Polanco. This is Fincher's second film for Netflix after 2020's "Manko".
It turns out that Michael Fassbender didn't even blink in front of the camera during the filming of "The Killer" .Director of the film, David Fincher, confirmed that Fassbender took pains to put himself in the shoes of the main character and it seems that (not) blinking was the key.
