Diana's opinion on Charles as a father!

Diana considered him a bad and selfish father: It was finally revealed what kind of relationship Charles had with his sons, was Diana right? Prince Charles has an interesting history of relations with his sons, we bring you the current state and dashes of the past.

Prince Charles said in a new essay that he was proud of his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.

He of course talked about their work addressing climate change.

The Heir to the Throne has announced a lengthy essay for a Newsweek front page discussing the growing threat to the environment, urging global leaders and communities to come together for urgent solutions.

In doing so, the Prince of Wales highlighted the progressive work of his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, which they had recently done.

'As a father, I am proud that my sons recognized this threat,' he continued. 'Recently, my older son William launched the prestigious Earthshot Prize to drive change and help fix our planet over the next ten years by identifying and investing in technologies that can make a difference.'

William has previously said he created an initiative so he could look his children in the eye and tell them he had done everything he could to meet the planet's environmental challenges over the next decade.

In the message, Charles also welcomed Harry's work on climate change.

'And my younger son, Harry, passionately highlighted the impact of climate change, especially in relation to Africa,' he added.

He concluded his essay: ‘The time is now. The eyes of our children and grandchildren judge us. Let ours be the generation that can bring the change. As we enter the new year, there's no time to lose.'

But not everything was always fabulous in the relationship between a famous father and his sons, and at one time a friend of the late Princess Diana, James Gilbey said what kind of parent she thought Charles was.

She thinks he's a bad, selfish dad,' he revealed Lady Di's point of view. After Charles divorced Diana in 1996 over his affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, he became estranged from his sons. He believed his ex-wife had poisoned their sons' minds against him, but he never commented publicly on it, probably because he knew how much the public was on her side after everything he put her through.

Charles is also known to have fully committed to his royal duties over the years, so for example, in 2017 alone he participated in 546 events. While he did his duty conscientiously, he never developed a close relationship with William or Harry. But sometimes he used to show up at their school plays, which didn't make them very happy.

Charles was also interesting when his sons participated in a documentary about Princess Diana called 'Our Mother: Her Life and Legacy'. Although of course, the focus was on their late mom, no one missed that at no point did they mention their father. Many commented at the time that their silence spoke louder than words.
