Before she started acting, Barbara Mori tried her hand as a model at the age of 14, but her love for acting was stronger.

After finishing filming the telenovela that made her famous, Barbara decided to withdraw from the world of soap operas and direct her career towards the movie screen. Her career was greatly slowed by a malignant disease. Namely, at the height of her fame, in 2007, she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

As a 19-year-old, she had a son, Sergio, during her relationship with actor Sergio Mayer, and her son became the father of the girl Mila at the same age. Thus, Barbara became a grandmother at the age of only 39, and the media called her the sexiest grandmother in the world.
She also has a one-year failed marriage to American baseball player Kenneth Ray Sigman and is currently in a happy relationship with Mexican director Fernando Rovzar, whom she met in 2013.
In an interview, Barbara revealed that she enjoys family life and is happy that she is no longer in the media spotlight as she once was. 'I love privacy. Fame caught up with me in the most critical years - when I was developing mentally and because of that I had a lot of problems, 'she said.
