ECS Liva One H610 offers good performance

Every week, a new mini-PC is announced, and in the face of declining sales of traditional towers, this segment has become the most active in desktop PCs. The ECS Liva One H610 is another new generation that will be updated with the most recent Intel CPUs and will be unveiled at the ISE2022 trade show.

The ECS Liva One H610, like most of these compacts, can be used for a variety of purposes, including computing or home entertainment in the home, in the office, as a thin client, or as solutions for digital signage or AI applications.

All of this is facilitated by its small dimensions of 205 x 176 x 33 mm, which allow it to be utilized anywhere, vertically and horizontally, hanging on the wall or behind monitors through its VESA mount.

This model employs Intel's 12th generation Core CPUs, Alder Lake, and is a design alternative to an identical device exhibited by ECS with AMD last month. It comes with a motherboard with an LGA 1700 socket that can support both 35W processors and the most powerful 65W CPUs with 16 cores.

These CPUs contain the latest integrated Iris Xe graphics, which allow the compact to transmit content to four 4K screens. The ECS Liva One H610 has two SODIMM slots that can be filled with up to 64 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM.

It contains an M.2 2280 port for PCIe 4.0 x4 solid-state drives and a 2.5-inch bay for SSDs or SATA hard drives for internal storage. Its connectivity is quite full, with the addition of the front and rear:

  • Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
  • 1 2.5Gbps Ethernet port
  • 1 HDMI 2.0b output
  • 2 Display Port 1.4a.
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
  • 4 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
  • 2xUSB2.0
  • 1 microphone input
  • 1 line out (audio)
  • Optional 1 VGA or RS-232

ECS will showcase its new mini-PC at Integrated Systems Europe 2022. We don't know the price or availability, but we do know that the business will sell various models with 65-watt and 35-watt processors, which will most likely allow for passively cooled systems without fans.
