'Elden Ring' is crowned the best game of the year

Elden Ring won The Game Awards 2022, as predicted in the headline, despite the fact that the game was played between two people.

Game of the Year:  Elden Ring

Best Action-Adventure Game:  God of War Ragnarök

We sneak in before this category touches to introduce the second protagonist of The Game Awards 2022, a God of War Ragnarök that, despite not winning the most prestigious award, wins the most awards, including best narrative, best music, best audio design...

Best Indie: Stray

And the best indie game of the year is... Stray, the viral sensation with the adorable cat, also wins best independent debut.

It was released years ago, yet it is continuously "growing." As a result, Final Fantasy XIV takes home the award for greatest development, as well as the prize for best community support.

Best Action Game: Bayonetta 3

In a tight competition with various more and less recognized titles, Bayonetta 3 is the best action game at The Game Awards 2022, and the second console exclusive after God of War.

Best Family Game:  Kirby and the Forgotten Land

As is customary in this category, Nintendo titles abound, and one of them, Kirby and the Forgotten Land get the crown.

Best Sports and Racing Game:  Gran Turismo 7

With a few exceptions, notably the winning title, Gran Turismo 7, the sports and racing category is as monotonous as ever.

Best Multiplayer: Splatoon 3

Splatoon 3, Nintendo's exclusive battle royale, wins the best multiplayer game category.

Best Mobile Game: Marvel Snap

Marvel's superheroes already have their own card game, Marvel Snap, which has been a major hit, earning it the title of best mobile game at The Game Awards 2022.
