Fans say Adam Sandler should never return to comedy

Sandler became famous thanks to roles in silly comedies such as 'Happy Gilmore', 'Billy Madison', and 'Big Daddy', but delighted fans with his performance at 'Uncut Gems' in 2019, which was one of his few serious roles. He is now interpreting another serious role in Netflix’s sports drama ‘Hustle’ and again, viewers are impressed.

It’s a sports story and a real treat for basketball fans that provides insight into what’s going on behind the scenes of the NBA League. Starring Adam Sandler and basketball player Juan Hernangómez. Sandler plays basketball scout Stanley Sugerman, who dreams of becoming a coach in the NBA. Stanley, a Philadelphia 76ers basketball scout, had no luck finding new talent until he discovered Bo Cruz (Juan Hernangómez). The scout decides to bring him to America without the approval of his team.

The film was directed by Jeremiah Zagar, and alongside Sandler and Juan, stars Heidi Gardner, Robert Duvall, Kenny Smith, Anthony Edwards, and Tobias Harris. One of the producers is also the most famous NBA basketball player LeBron James. ‘Hustle’ has already received numerous praises from film critics, and he is also praised by viewers.

"Hustle is a great movie. Really fun. If you're a basketball fan, you're going to love it. I actually like to see Adam Sandler in more serious roles," one viewer said on Twitter. "Hustle is another reason why Adam Sandler should continue to make more serious films. I'm not a big fan of sports films, but because of his performance this is worth watching," added another. “Adam Sandler is much better at dramatic acting than at comedy,” one viewer concluded.

Adam Sandler is one of the most interesting Hollywood actors who was not discouraged by many failures, nor harmed his career. Adam produces most of his films himself and often hires his wife Jackie with whom has been married since 2003. It is known that she converted to Judaism because of him.
