Forbes NEW list! The wealthiest entertainers!

Forbes has published a list of the highest paid entertainers for 2022: Some names will surprise you

The twenty-five highest-paid entertainers thus earned a total of $ 4.4 billion before taxes and fees in 2021.

Although the year has just begun, the prestigious Forbes magazine has published a list of the highest-paid entertainers for 2022.

In December last year, Bruce Springsteen sold the copyright and publishing rights to all of his recorded music and lyrics, including 11 multi-platinum albums and five golden singles, for nearly $ 500 million, according to sources. The buyer was Sony Music, the parent company of his longtime record label Columbia Records. This venture put the 20-time Grammy winner in second place on Forbes' list of highest-paid entertainers in 2021, just behind 'Lord of the Rings' director Peter Jackson, who earned $ 600 million after selling part of his visual effects company for 1, $ 6 billion in November last year. With that contract, Jackson became a billionaire.

Other performers who made lucrative earnings over the past year are Bob Dylan, Paul Simon and Neil Young , who together raised about $ 500 million.

Over the past two years, major streaming services have spent about $ 3.7 billion to secure the rights to TV hits such as "Friends" and "Law and Order", which brought their creators to this list.

In today's world of entertainment entertainment, 'South Park' creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker , who signed a $ 900 million contract with Viacom, have also found their place.

Actress Reese Witherspoon, who sold part of her Hello Sunshine production company to private investment firm Blackstone for $ 900 million, also made the highest-paid list.

Among the top 5 were Jay-Z, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Kanye West with their nine-figure amounts, most of which they earned not by rap, production or acting, but by selling champagne, tequila and sneakers.

Even singer Taylor Swift, who came in 25th with $ 52 million in earnings, earned most of her money by re-recording an album she first released 10 years ago.

The twenty-five highest-paid entertainers thus earned a total of $ 4.4 billion before taxes and fees in 2021, the vast majority of which did so without creating anything new. By comparison, in 2020, the 25 highest paid people earned a total of more than $ 2.2 billion.
